Ric Vince, will be starring through most of the series, as Jean Valjean. An experienced actor for stage, and film, as well as pirate re-enactor, musician, and photographer, Ric is also one of the series directors. Photo used is from our 2013 stage production, by Laura Jay
Darius Frost, will be appearing early in the series, as the young Valjean, and again in supporting roles later in the series. Aged 41, he is an actor who enjoys darker roles, either in voiceover and physical acting.
Andrew Swinbank, as Javert I discovered amateur acting later in life and a whole new world of opportunities. I have appeared in, amongst other shows, local productions of Annie, Guys & Dolls, Panto at the OK Corral and of course Les Miserable with South Devon Players – previously in the roles of Bishop and Prosecutor. I am now looking forward to playing the role of Javert and learning the challenges/art of film.
Willow Gradwell, will be playing the young Cosette. Willow has enjoyed performing in local theatre since she was 8 and has recently completed her first film role. She is very excited to be a part of this Les Mis project and looking forward to the opportunity.
Pam Vince will be appearing in this film series as Madame Thenadier. She is, in real life, Rics wife, and a strong performer in her own right, and has previously played Madame Thenadier in a stage production. Photo from a location / costume test, by Ric Vince
James Scott, as Thenadier Has acted in several theatre roles including the part of Melvin P Thorpe in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, several small films, frontman in several bands, always loves challenges and is known to dress up in various attire from time to time.

Anthony Webster will be appearing in three roles through the series. Anthony is very much looking forward to working with other talented, creative practitioners, and to bringing expressive portrayal to the roles on this wonderful project. This year, he has been thrilled to play judges, vampires, historical figures and other varied parts before camera. These add to the tramps, Jesus Christ, bank manager, various Shakespeare roles, lecturers, wizards and other roles taken in the past for short film, independent feature film, music video and theatre presentation. Anthony appreciates the expectancy of this brave, new production’s audience, and the rare opportunities for creative performance offered.
Jade Callender, will be appearing as Sister Simplice. She is a versatile performer based in the South West, England. Having been encouraged to perform since the age of 6, Jade has dedicated her life to her chosen passion of acting.
Ben Carroll, will be appearing as Champmanthieu. "I've acted in a handful of plays and films, including the People's Company productions Ubu, Marat Sade and The Devil Is An Ass and independent films such as Midnight Confusion and Sphere of Fear. Always looking for acting work, taking on new challenges and styles on the theatrical scene"
Megan Tarrant will be appearing as the Prioress at the convent where Cosette goes to school. My name is Megan Tarrant and this is my first role in a film production. I have worked on and off as a Model and appeared as an extra in the Opera Rigoletto at the Princess Theatre in Torquay. I'm looking forward to getting back into Acting and learning as I go.
Joe will be appearing in the series as Gavroche Joe has attended Stagecoach in Torquay for over Two years And is a member of South Devon Players Theatre Company. He has recently appeared in Evita , La Bohème, The Snow Queen and Zorro. Joe is thrilled to be playing Gavroche in a forthcoming web production of Les Misérables and would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support.
Lizzie Jordan Moulds will be appearing as the grown-up Eponine. Elizabeth is a keen and experienced performer who recently graduated from 'The Hammond School' in Chester. Here she studied dance, musical theatre, singing and acting for six days and evenings a week, for three years, gained a distinction for her national diploma in professional dance and performed in various productions and shows around the country. She is a hard working, determined and creative girl who is grateful for her part as Eponine and is excited to be taking part in a story she has fallen in love with over and over again. Although primarily trained as a dancer, she has had much experience performing and acting, both in and out of dance. She has been trained and coached by various credible teachers and professionals such as; Bolshoi ballet star and choreographer Irek Mukhamedov, West End choreographer David Needham, Stage actress and Opera singer Rosemary Ashe, known for such roles as "Carlotta" in the original of Andrew Lloyd Webbers 'The Phantom Of The Opera' and "Madame Thernardier" in 'Les Miserables' the musical, Ballet teacher and stager, for the likes of Sir Frederick Ashton and Kenneth Macmillan, Jane Elliot, with whom she worked on the world premiere of a new ballet 'Plymouth Town', in which she starred as the Principal Female Dancer, and many others including; Antonia Baron, Anthea Garrett, Hana Gosling, Mandy Hatfield, Katrina Lyndon, Sharon Lyndon, Tracy Baxter, Eric Carpenter, Marcus Lyon, Craig Faulkner, Maxine Bowers, Alison Hughes. She has also trained with The Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School, Central School of Ballet and members of The National Dance Company Wales. She would like to thank everyone for her help and guidance over the years and is proud to say that dancing and musical theatre has not only taught her many valuable lessons, but has also shown her the importance of acting and portraying emotion and is looking forward to sharing it in her role as Eponine in the Les Miserables web film series.
Leanne Ryan will be playing the grown-up Azelma. "I have been in many performances all throughout my school and college years playing many roles such as 'The Snow Queen', 'showgirl'/'follies girl'. Hayley Rushton will be appearing in various roles through the film series, and as Mere Houcheloup. "I have been acting from very young and been in many theatre productions, as for film I've only done 3 but gaining more experience!"

John Ian Dredge, who will be appearing as Feuilly, is 28 just finished Broadchurch season 2, best TV experience everm and loved every min. Also has some stage work this year with South Pacific and A Chorus Line - again had the best time. He is just getting ready to start work on Doctor Who the audio series with full cast compliment. Really looking forward to working on this film because Les Mis is his favourite story of all time. He is also doing a talk with Bobby Davero in January.
Laura Jay (stage name) is an actress, director and writer, who is the main series producer. Trained to Masters degree in teaching theatre, and holding two undergraduate degrees in film and TV production, she also manages the day-to-day administration of the South Devon Players Theatre Company. Having directed the stage show last year. she will be appearing in various supporting roles, and then will be having a gender makeup and vocal change, (the joys of acting skills and makeup!) to appear later in the series as Courfeyrac.
